We all know about the Pilgrims and the Indians, but Thanksgiving’s favorite bromance in the south may just be Shrimp and Mirliton. We rarely become aware of this Louisiana root vegetable until the holiday season, but no matter who you celebrate with, Shrimp and Mirliton make an appearance as a pair at the Thanksgiving table.

At Bevi Seafood Co. we have Shrimp and Mirliton Chowder and Shrimp and Mirliton Dressing available on our Holiday Catering menu for anyone not interested in spending 2 hours cooking the Mirliton before tackling the actual dish.
